Summary
MainGo is a Chrome extension that opens one official https search page on the streaming service you choose, with a genre-aligned search query. MainGo does not play audio, host music, require sign-in, or send your activity to servers operated by the publisher.
What MainGo does
- Shows a side panel where you pick a service and genre.
- Builds a search URL on that service’s official website.
- Opens or updates one browser tab with that URL when you tap GoGo Maingo Burst.
You still use the streaming service’s own site and account (if any). MainGo does not control playback or download audio.
Information the publisher collects
MainGo does not collect, sell, rent, or share personal information through the extension.
MainGo does not use analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, crash reporters, or other remote services operated by the publisher. The extension does not “phone home.”
Information stored on your device
MainGo stores a single session value in chrome.storage.session: the tab ID of the
current “burst” tab so repeated bursts can reuse the same tab until you close it. This value:
- Stays in your browser for the current session only.
- Is not sent to the publisher or to third parties by MainGo.
- Is cleared when the browser session ends (per Chrome’s session storage behavior).
MainGo does not use chrome.storage.sync or chrome.storage.local.
Network activity
When you tap GoGo Maingo Burst, Chrome navigates a tab to the https URL you chose (for example, a search page on Spotify, Pandora, or YouTube Music). That navigation is handled by Chrome; MainGo does not proxy, intercept, or modify page content on those sites.
Chrome permissions
MainGo requests these permissions in its manifest:
sidePanel— shows the MainGo UI in Chrome’s side panel.-
tabs— creates or updates the tab that opens your chosen search URL, and checks whether the burst tab is still open. storage— reads and writes the burst tab ID in session storage only.
MainGo does not request:
<all_urls>or other broad host permissions.- Content scripts on streaming sites.
- Microphone, camera, clipboard, or geolocation access.
Third-party sites
When you use MainGo, you leave the extension and visit a third-party streaming service. That service’s privacy policy and terms apply on their site. MainGo is not affiliated with Spotify, Pandora, YouTube Music, or other services unless stated separately by the publisher.
Children
MainGo is not directed to children under 13. Parents should manage browser profiles for minors.
Changes
The publisher may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will change when that happens. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
